Quick Thought for Today

An early report on the Budget from The Advertiser “Axe taken to Environmental Programs: Budget” claims that as part of the cost saving measures programs cut are those which ‘… are under-used or not doing the job efficiently’.
Taking this statement at face value would this then mean that we can also axe Parliament and the majority of our MPs and Senator as Parliament is vastly under-used and few of the Government MPs are doing their job efficiently. First to go should be the PM followed quickly by the rest of Cabinet.

Maybe those making these statements should choose their words more carefully. Even some bad or under-performing programs are more productive than our current swathe of MPs.
